Jim Martyn,
Finance Director , Sun Microsystems UK & Ireland

As Finance director UK & Ireland for Sun Microsystems, Jim is responsible for providing support to the sales teams and for new business opportunities. He is also in charge of management and financial accounting. Jim manages a team of 40 and has fiduciary responsibility for the UK and Ireland as well as being the legal director of Sun Microsystems Limited.

Jim graduated from University College Dublin and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He also has an MBA from Portsmouth University. Before joining Sun, Jim trained as an accountant in public practice in Dublin. He worked in the City for two years after which he spent ten years in the technology industry in various finance roles.
