Sun and MySQL

With the completion of the acquisition of MySQL, Sun Microsystems UK have the pleasure of inviting you to a morning session discussing what this means now and in the future for you our customers, users and partners.

The MySQL database is a key component for building Web 2.0 and Online applications and is increasingly being adopted by organisations seeking a cost efficient database platform for innovation and rapid deployment. Its deployment with the Linux, Solaris OS, OpenSolaris and Windows on highly complementary systems from Sun, delivers powerful end-to-end platforms for customers of all scales, from individual developers to the largest global enterprises.

Sun and MySQL continue their commitment to strategic partnerships with popular platform vendors such as Dell, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Red Hat and Zend. The acquisition cements Sun's entrance into the $15 billion database market and affirms Sun's leadership in open source software.

The morning will be lead with talks from Sun Microsystems' Chief Open Source Officer Simon Phipps and MySQL AB co-founder David Axmark and then followed by discussions of Sun and MySQL solutions. Please see the agenda tab for further details

Whether you are a customer, user or partner; the morning will offer you a great chance to find out how Sun and MySQL getting together will benefit you.
