Remote Labs
Remote Labs are hands-on lab sessions on Sun hardware that the learner performs remotely, via access through the Internet or network technology.
- Guided practice: Remote Labs will typically be assisted, under the guidance of an instructor who provides the student with real-time and interactive support to achieve specific learning objectives. Downloadable labs are an option.

Live Virtual Class combines the traditional strengths of classroom based training with the ease of use, and anywhere accessibility of the Internet-based training. Live Virtual Class expands Sun's overall learning capabilities and complements other types of IT education. Sun's Live Virtual Class sets itself apart from the competition with classes and remote labs conducted by accredited instructors and delivered over an advanced collaboration platform that can support Solaris, Windows and Linux clients simultaneously.
Registration
Registration will be via phone. Students will receive confirmation of their registration in advance and be guided through the simple set-up process. The comprehensive confirmation covers both student training history and ensures necessary online class information is provided to the student.
Students receive instruction to participate in the LVC. This includes downloading software and trying it out. The basic instructional tool is easy to get started. Once the student joins the class, more instructions are offered to ensure all students can effectively participate in the class.

Platform independent Client Software
All students will use a publicly available software client to link their desktops to our collaboration servers. The software runs on Windows, Solaris or Linux.
Students will automatically be directed to the software download site through URLs embedded in the confirmation letters and be be guided through a short and easy installation and test process to ensure their computers are properly configured.
During the labs, students either work on their own computer or remotely log into a Sun remote lab computer.
Accredited Instructors
Instructors are trained to use the Sun collaboration tool and are also trained in delivery methods and for online teaching.
All Instructors for Live Virtual Class come from our pool of accredited instructors, most of whom are prepared under the rigorous Sun Instructor Accreditation program and often hold certifications in the courses they teach.
The instructor enters the online classroom before the class starts and greets each student as they enter. At the appointed time, the instructor initiates the training session.
Access to Specialized Equipment
Equipment from Sun's Remote Lab Deployment Center (RLDC) provides reliable and preconfigured platforms for practice. Labs are integrated into the LVC course and student may be assisted by instructors.

Our delivery platform Elluminate Live!(*) ( www.elluminate.com) provides a robust and feature rich environment that provides all of the leading features like VoIP, Desktop Sharing, Break out rooms, Question and Answer, that ensure our students get an interactive, stimulating and superior learning experience that captures all the traditional classroom attributes.
