1. Purchase a Sun certification exam.
If you require training, Sun exam vouchers are included as part of Sun Certification Success packages. You may also purchase your exam directly through Prometric. Follow the steps below to schedule and purchase your exam:
- Go to prometric.com/sun and select the Start button
- Select Schedule an Appointment
- Choose your country (and state, if testing in the United States) and click the Next button to continue.
- Select Sun Microsystems as the Client and SUN Microsystems (310, 311) as the Program. Select the Next button to continue.
- Read the certification policies and select Next to continue.
- Select your exam and choose your language, then select the Next button to continue.
- Select the Schedule an Appointment link beside the Prometric Testing Center where you would like to take your exam.
- You will be prompted to login with your Prometric login and password. You will need to register if you are a new user.
- Choose a date and time for your exam and select the Next button to continue.
- Follow the prompts to confirm your appointment and purchase your exam. You will receive a confirmation email from Prometric after completion.
Please note that online exam registration may not be available in all countries.
If you would prefer to purchase your exam by phone, you may call Prometric using the Call Us numbers listed for your region and country on left side of the prometric.com/sun site.
2. Take your exam.
You must agree to maintain test confidentiality and sign a Certification Candidate Pre-Test Agreement. Please review this document and other certification policies and agreements before taking your exam.
3. Manage your certification progress.
You will receive your results immediately following the exam. Exam information is also available from the Certification Database. Please allow three to five working days after you take the exam for the information to be posted.
